Unfortunatley you can't ban people, but you can lock, merge, split, sticky, announce, and close threads. To make a thread a sticky or announcement, edit the first post of the thread, scroll down a little, and it should show three bullets labeled Sticky, Announcement, and Normal. To lock, move, or merge a thread, go to the very bottom of the thread page and there should be a small row of small icons. If i was a moderator and there were signatures i would have a funny picture to put as my signature. It's a Domo-Kon (one of those bread-like things, i use one as profile picture too) that says "every time you post something stupid, god kills a moderator, so please! think about the moderators!"
